3 SLO  Regarding to project #2

Project Planning

For me, project planning means taking the time to plan, research, write, and revise before completing the final project. I’ve learned that excellent writing doesn’t happen overnight. For my second project, I first had to choose a topic that met the assignment requirements. I chose the controversy surrounding Dior and the traditional Chinese “Mamianqun” Before I began writing, I researched the sequence of events, why people were paying attention to this issue, and the history and significance of the “Mamianqun” This helped me better understand the issue, which enabled me to write both the complaint letter and the reply. I also learned that being able to share with the class for peer review and heard feedback is also important.

Project Analysis

For me, project analysis means understanding who my audience is and considering their needs, background, and culture before I begin writing. This is particularly important in Project 2, as my topic involves different cultures. I chose the controversy surrounding Dior, which arose from a dress that many people considered similar to the traditional Chinese “Mamianqun.” This incident made me realize that people from different cultural backgrounds may interpret the same design or message differently.

Content Development

For me, content development means choosing the appropriate writing style, tone, message, and format for a specific type of communication. Project 2 helped me understand that as I needed to write content on the same topic in several different ways. My project included a problem overview, a complaint letter, a reply letter, and social media posts. Although they all revolved around the controversy between Dior and Mamianqun, each piece had a different purpose and target audience.

This outcome means that before present my work. There are purpose, audience, and evidence needed to decide according to the information.
