Welcome to miajin/2210portfolio

Mia Jin is a bilingual speaker with experience in business management, customer service, interpretation, and victim advocacy. She improved her ability to convey information clearly and professionally throughout the semester.

In ENGL-2210  Mia completed three major projects that allowed her to explore various forms of technical and professional communication. In Project 1, Mia produced a video tutorial on making cheesecake. By planning the step-by-step process and visual presentation, she further honed her organizational skills, usability design capabilities, and ability to convey procedures in a way that is easy for the audience to understand. Her third project focused on cybersecurity and human trafficking. Through this project, she worked to translate this complex and serious topic into information that a young audience could clearly understand.

In the “Complaints and Responses” project, she conducted an in-depth analysis of the controversy between Dior and traditional Chinese “MaMianQun” and practiced expressing cultural concerns through professional and persuasive writing. This project enhanced her ability to consider tone, audience, and different perspectives when addressing sensitive issues.

In project 3, her research on Online Safety relates to Human Trafficking. She developed a proposal and presentation and focused on presenting serious and complex information where it is clear and understandable.

These experiences have helped Mia become a more thoughtful and adaptable communicator. Her professional experience working with clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds has also shaped the way she approaches communication. Through her final portfolio, she hopes to showcase her growth in professional writing, audience awareness, visual communication, and the ability to transform complex information into accessible and meaningful content.
